Panels: 14
Previous TBFGK 60 Next TBFGK 62 [edit]

Panel 1

A close up of Ansom. His hands are on his hips in disbelief. His face is twisted, one eye shut tight, and his mouth is turned down in confusion. The background is a light, neon green fading darker near the edges.[edit]
Prince Ansom: How... can it be empty? [edit]

Panel 2

The rear of Ansom's head is on the right; his hand can be seen making a claw-like gesture. Vinny is front and center, scrunched down and angry. Tarfu is cut of at the armpits and knees, due to his great height. The background is the tree bark brown mixed with leafy green.[edit]

Vinny Doombats: Seems pretty clear, yer honor.

He played us.

And good.

Prince Ansom: No.

He's simply not that bright.
[edit]

Panel 3

A close-up of Vinny Doombats as he explains to Ansom. He looks concered that Ansom isn't taking this seriously.[edit]

Vinny Doombats: Iiiiidunno...

When your back's against the wall, sometimes you can come up with stuff.

Prince Ansom: No, trust me.
[edit]

Panel 4

Ansom looks angry, like his entire world view is trying to crumble, but sheer ego is holding it back.[edit]

Prince Ansom: He's pulled a shrewd trick once or twice.

But something like this is... beyond him.
[edit]

Panel 5

Vinny's face is scrunched up like he is still uncertain, but considering Ansom's position.[edit]

Vinny Doombats: Well...

This looks like a pretty shrewd trick, arright.
[edit]

Panel 6

Ansom is shown in profile, and seems to have relaxed quite a bit.[edit]

Prince Ansom: Yes.

It does.
[edit]

Panel 7

Ansom has his confidence back. As he puts his helmet back on, he looks focused, certain of himself, as if he has figured something out that he is certain is correct.[edit]

Prince Ansom: Yes it does!

Battle formations!
[edit]

Panel 8

Parson and Stanley stand over the Eyemancer Table, bathed in the light blue glow. Stanley has his fists raised in confident celebration, while Parson is relaxed.[edit]

Parson Gotti: So, next turn...

Stanley the Tool: Next turn we croak him!

And take the Arkenpliers!
[edit]

Panel 9

From the side, Parson is looking at Stanley and the frame. His hand and index finger on the far side are raised.

Stanley looks concerned, and is pointing at the Eyemancer Table.
[edit]

Parson Gotti: Definitely an option. Or we could capture--

Stanley the Tool: Hey, he moved again.
[edit]

Panel 10

Now it is Parson's turn to look concerned. His eyebrows are raised in confusion as he looks intently at the Eyemancer Table.[edit]

Parson Gotti: Into the center hex?

Why would he do that?

Wanda Firebaugh: Perhaps... ...does he not believe his scout?
[edit]

Panel 11

Looking down on the Eyemancer Table, we see the remaing five hexes of the dwagon ring formation, with Ansom and all of his forces moved to the center hex.[edit]

Parson Gotti: Why wouldn't he?

Wanda Firebaugh: His assumption again.

He knows we have a Foolamancer...
[edit]

Panel 12

Wanda is shown waist up, in her white robe tied with a red sash. She has yellow chopsticks and a yellow plate in her hair, which is tied up in a bun.[edit]

Wanda Firebaugh: Perhaps he would rather believe that we have veiled our wounded units than that we bested him tactically.

Parson Gotti: I guess...
[edit]

Panel 13

Ansom sits forlorn and alone on his flying carpet.[edit]

Parson Gotti: Waitwaitwait.

Time out.
[edit]

Panel 14

Parson has moved between Stanley and Wanda, and stands with arms spread wide and a distinct look of concern on his face.[edit]
Parson Gotti: We can veil our troops? [edit]
