Buttresses are flying mounts in service to Frenemy. Their appearance and abilities are yet unknown, although at least some of Buttresses are "fat".^{IPTSF Text 19}

Buttresses seem to be formidable units, since Frenemy uses them as mounts for some of their warlords. At least two Buttresses were part of the flying force of Frenemy and Quisling units that invaded the airspace of the City of Goodminton. Both were shot down - along with their mounted warlords - by Delphie using air defense spells of Minnow Tower.^{IPTSF Text 20}

The name of this unit may refer to the flying buttress - an element of Gothic church architecture. Also a pun on butt rest.
