According to Wikipedia, an adjutant is a military officer that serves as an aid to a higher ranking officer in administrative matters.[1]

While little has been mentioned of what an adjutant does in the Jetstone military, the word's inclusion in LIAB Text 50 describing Countess Artemis' relationship to Prince Forthewin suggests that it has a similar function as in Erfworld as it does in the Real World.
