Talk:Manpower the Temporary
 Real World References
I actually thought his name refers to Viagra. :D -- Muzzafar 08:11, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
 Manpower's Death
To me, it seemed like Manpower's death was a nod to the death of Sir Daniel Fortisque, the protagonist of the PS1 game Medievil. Both were leaders of an army, and both were shot in the eye and killed by the first bolt fired. Coincidence or trivia?
 Move to Manpower
"The temporary" is his title, not part of his name. Given that character titles might change (eg. Stanley the Tool was not so for the whole run of the comic), I have moved him to Manpower. I think we should try to avoid including character titles in the document names. Erk 19:48, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

 Possible Origin
I posit that Manpower was a warlord captured by Stanley when he sacked Faq. Of all the characters known to have come from Faq (Jack, Wanda, Jillian, Marie), three out of four of them have had eyes distinctly different from all other Erfworlders we've seen, specifically they've had whites to their eyes. In his first appearance, Manpower also had this sclera. In fact, if all of Stanley's warlords were promoted from captured units, they would have low Loyalty and Duty stats, which would have negatively impacted the way they fought their battles, which would have led to both the quick turnover of Chief Warlords and the long losing streak Gobwin Knob had been having until Parson showed up.
