Yes, the cart is complete. I accidentally omitted the bonuses from the structure.

I'll do the same thing as last turn
3x Gather Wood
1x Build Cart
2x Build Cart from the Workshop
Also, brief reminder to our Mystic(s) that last time I skipped rations MarbitChow suggested that Mystics might benefit from that... XP bonus, perhaps?

Enjoy the game, ... I'm sure I won't need to tell your grandmother to enjoy her birthday. Those old folks know how to enjoy themselves

Then I failed my forage, and got the suggestion that it'd be better if I was meditating, whatever that is. Perhaps that's what it's called when you use the Shrine?

Eric picks a fight with a pig. The pig puts up quite a good show.
Hyde still hasn't found what he's looking for.
The farthest southern zone is enveloped in a fog of war.
Arthemy scouts a new zone, and sees a whole bunch of angry-looking... things? He's got a bad feeling about this...

Wow. Tough pig.

We're going to need a mystic to calm these things for butchering. Or I'm going to need a spear or something.

Eric needs food and a break, so someone else needs to come to this angle to control the end of the road.

Eric will move north for three actions, eat, and then free eat.

Time once again for rules clarifications and additions...

A creature can be attacked by up to 3 other creatures at once.
Some creatures may be larger than normal sized; the maximum number of attacks will be noted if/when these creatures are encountered.
Attack declarations are done at the start of the term, so a 4th attacker can't just jump in if one of the initial 3 are removed from combat.

LTDave wrote:Eric will move north for three actions, eat, and then free eat.

Note that the Pig has 1 hit left. Doing one hit on the 1st or 2nd action will grant you up to 3 eat actions. Are you sure you want to retreat?

0beron wrote:Arthemy will Retreat West, and then Calm the first target to follow him, if any. If none do, he Banks.

This means that the orbs, if they chose to attack, will get 3 free swings on you, for a maximum of 9 possible attacks. If you drop below zero before the 3rd action, you'll collapse in the zone, and they'll get an additional 3 attacks. If you choose to calm one of your attackers as your first action instead, you'll still be subjected to 9 attacks (3/2/2/2), but with no possibility of it increasing to 12.

ETheBoyce wrote:Texas will send an action to gather a mushroom and then head East to fight the orb things1

This means that you will arrive at the end of the turn. Orbs will not be able to attack you this turn, nor will you be able to assist Arthemy in any way.

Marbit, a couple questions. Do I remember you saying that Forage isn't possible in zones with enemies? Or was that only in regard to construction?
Second, what is this Meditate that you mentioned a while back? Is that a training action I can take at any time? or is it something only done in the Shrine?
Also on that note, could you compile that rules post like you mentioned, now that we're close to 10 pages?

The answer to these first 2 questions will determine what course of action Texas and I should take.

All non-combat actions automatically fail around hostiles. Prolonged multi-turn combat can be fatal just due to starvation.

Meditate is the name of the training action taken when Mystics use the shrine. Katara has been meditating for the past several turns.

Ok then, now I have to decide how much I'm willing to risk death by starvation. I can stand and "fight" by using ALL my actions to Calm.

Marbit, can you clarify? Does that mean that even if we are holding food, we cannot eat it...?

No, eating is different. Forage auto-fails (since it interacts with the environment), but eating is using an item. It has to be claimed, though - so it's handy. You can't get to communal stores in the middle of combat, but you can hand off an item if you've got one to spare. Handing off an item to another player costs an action.

Note that your attackers have a chance to break Calm. (Normal animals do not get this chance, however.) If one of your attackers breaks calm before the end of the turn, I assume Arthemy will calm it instead of another 'blob', correct?
