Ziggy played guitar, but Al kept walking into Sam Beckett's virtual reality spouting stats and probabilities from Ziggy, the computer. Definitely a Quantum Leap reference, not Bowie.

In a rare event, I gotta agree with Kreistor on this one. The question is... who's debt is being paid?

It could be both a Bowie reference and a Quantum Leap reference. Remember that Bowie was a Changeamancer in Unaroyal. We don't know where Archer came from before being decrypted. He could have been a Unaroyal unit, and Bowie could have been known as Ziggy, or could have had another person named Ziggy who was special to Archer and to Bowie. There's plenty of room for the Ziggy reference to have numerous pop culture aspects. Heck, if Ziggy were, say, Bowie's "lackey" and also assigned to keep tabs on Archer through some sort of changeamancy version of communication, I would imagine Ziggy would look like a combination of this and this.

It's also possible that naming the computer in Quantum Leap "Ziggy" was itself a Bowie reference to begin with.

Before you start yelling at people to get off your lawn, please consider that in this case, it's not about being too old to get the reference. It's about being too young.

I think the better question is "How many times have the caster's saved Jetstone's boop today." I believe it would be accurate to say Slately's boop is already roasted. Roasting. Toasting. Or possibly in the hall's of his fathers where the brave shall live forever.

Ace - Gave him an option to not retreat the way Trem had suggested leading to his death charge (Arguably saving him in that the stairs were treacherous thanks to Red.) Also the cape did in fact save him once.
Cubbins - Perfect in all ways, I imagine he saved the soul of Jetstone and the king and each and every reader. Poor perfect Cubbins.
Lloyd - Saved the side, without this one action it would be over.
Pierce - So true.
Ace - I don't know if I can love him anymore. But it should be known I have an insane love of Scott Bakula. Ker-sigh, looks like Daddy's Gone.

Other Casters who have saved the day.
Wanda - Leaving the battlefield. Took the pliers away, huge save for jetstone.
Vana - FTW.
Jojo and the others stopping the parson train - stopping the parson train.
Maggie - Having Parson appointed CWL
Jack - Included just to say not a huge factor, his job was mostly played out and his juice was running on empty, just there for scrolling.

Final Tally - Casters love Jetstone. It's in their blood.

Perhaps one side effect of being spawned as a cynic is that you have just a touch of predictomancy in your blood in the same fashion that optimists have a little luckamancy?
