Oh wow.

While the style is a bit rough around the edges, I'd bet it's fluent and takes you very little time. When drawing comics this is a plus. How long did this all take?

rough yes, but the faces are really expressive. I like the "Books?" with the accompanying head tilt.

I'm still learning to draw, so the key players are traced from the flashback in book 1. I'm still trying to work out how to draw Jillian from the other side - I'm not sure it can be done.

The arms in panel 1 are ridiculous! I wish I'd spent more time there.

I'm thinking about the next set now - haven't put pen to page yet.

I follow this thread with anger, resentment, and envy. How dare you LTDave to be able to illustrate at a fluent pace something that looks like a comic adaptation of a text?!

Part of me doing this comic is to improve my drawing. Another part is to expand beyond the one shot joke format that I use in my other comics (see Lightning Made of Owls).
A third part is to figure out what looks good in terms of scanning and file formats.
This last one was scanned in black and white, and then edited a bit in paint. The others have been scanned in greyscale and edited in photostudio.
The art style has changed in this last one - I didn't trace so much.

The more I do these the more I realise how much talent and time it must take to produce the remarkable art that is in the real Erfworld.

Well, I knew that as well from experience. I do some occasional uploading of a "quick" one-hour or two-hour sketch, and what I can achieve in that time is nowhere near enough to fill a page.
