Art Reference Question

Xin, in this image of Charlescomm's capital, were the winged O's inspired by Rayman?

Charlie's emblem is based on the pin the archons were wearing in book 1. I added the O on a whim, because it fit visually and enlarged the dimensions of the symbol to give it a more balanced look. I can't discount some sort of unconscious influence, but the likelihood is low since I'm not really familiar with that series.
