Marbit Island - The Far Side of the World - COMPLETED

MarTen might have been good at riding a MarPony, but he sure wasn't great at sailing.

One turn away from Marbit Island, and the bad weather struck. Some of the wild popped Marbits had tried to warn him about the sudden storms from the South, but MarTen hadn't listened. He'd even ordered one of the Marbits to be silent.

The Storm was bad. Wild winds, terrifying lightning, and waves as big as seventeen Marbits standing on each other's heads. The Marbits. Not the Waves.
The fleet was scattered over dozens of hexes, and the flagship, "The Prince of Mars", was wrecked upon a hidden reef.

Most of the Marbits dwowned. Many more perished from the extreme cold. But a few - just a few of the wild popped Marbits clung to the wreckage and washed ashore on a barren rock.

There are no Commanders to give the orders, but these Marbits have been here before. Well, not here. This place is very different to the last Island. This is, to all intents and purposes, the Far Side of the World...

YOUR NAME COULD BE HERE!

Things to Note:
Brown squares are wood. This wood is what is left from the shipwreck, and after the hut was built.
Red squares are food. This food has been scavenged from the wreck.
There is a Chest - it washed ashore, but is locked.
There is one sword, and one axe.
This turn a Green Creature has entered the hex. It has Combat 2, Defence 4, Hits 6/6, Move 8.

Rules (such as they are)
Spoiler: show
Marbit Island is a play-by-post game run by me. Each player will be a Marbit, looking to survive here.
Move is the most important stat. It determines the number of actions you can take in a turn - move into other hexes, gather food, cut trees, build, etc.
Post your orders on the forum. For this game, orders will be resolved in the order in which they were posted - no editing of your posts, please!
This gives an advantage to early posters to grab equipment and resources, but allows later posters to know what has happened before they give their orders.
Marbits like to eat. At least once per turn. Marbits do not eat automatically, but must be given an order to eat.
If a Marbit is unable to eat, he will become hungry. A hungry Marbit that does not eat in their turn will become ill, or cwoak.
Marbits may hold up to two items in their hands. It takes an action to equip one or more items. Excess items are dropped in the hex.
If the weather turns bad, Marbits will need to take shelter in a hut. A hut can shelter up to six Marbits.
Combat is a dangerous game, and no one is really sure just how it works. High Combat and Defence values are good. Working as a team, or 'stack' is also good.
Marbits who do not submit orders within the allotted time will default to eating once, and then singing lewd lyrics drafted into popular musicals.
NPC Marbits may be given orders by Player Marbits. It takes one action to give a set of orders to one NPC. The first player to issue orders to an NPC controls it for that turn (no befriending).
All the necessary information should be displayed on the map, above. Any questions? Just ask.

Compare the date-stamps please.

I edited this a total one minute before you posted your orders to pick up the sword.

The Date Stamps don't matter as we were told not to edit in the rules. Also you don't get notification that someone is editing like you do if someone has posted something before you submit.
I had actually claimed M1 but as I took longer to submit and thus I was able to see you'd submitted to claim him in the meantime. There wasn't a post when I started to claim him but since I saw you'd submitted I quickly changed to M2 before submitting.

Would someone with an axe mind making me a knife? I just want to be a craftbot in this game as well.

I'll take M8, who is actually cook. His beer may or may not have been involved in the wreak.

Cook will stack up to attack the creature, his other actions will be: tend bush, tend bush, tend bush (assuming their food bushes) or harvest mushroom, harvest mushroom, harvest mushroom

I'll grab M3 ("Rod").

I have to admit I have read thru the first marbit Island tread yet, so I'm a bit vague on the rules. I do have a few questions to ask however.

I see 2 iccons that I am interpreting as rock piles for rocks of different sizes. Is this correct? And how big are the rocks in each pile relative to us?

Does the Rock axe require the rock tool to create?

Does the Green creature look like it could be friendly? Or does it look like it wants to attack anything near it? (Could it possibly be tamed?)

Could we use the rocks to fight the creature if needed? Could we simply pick them up and use them as bludgeons? Could we throw the rocks at it?
