The Empire of the Rising Hedgepig breaches the superb defences of Stoneheart.
* The Grand Army of the Empire is at the gates of the City
* The Empire has excellent infantry ideal for breaching and seizing a position
* The Empire's fantastic spies and numerous sleeper agents help identify weakpoints and vulnerabilities to exploit in the attack

The principality of Acotise is afflicted with a vicious civil war
* The Prince has been assassinated, leaving a power vacuum and competing factions
* The population are unhappy and disease ridden, and ready to overthrow their leaders
* The policy of spreading disease through the oceans is very controversial and divides the community

Sorry about missing the last round - I'm in the process of moving back to university, which has taken up most of my time. :P

Some sort of biochemistry / biophysics. :D

And I see you've assassinated a "Prince".

Secondary:
No, actually, Acotise rejoices in the death of an utterly useless (yet expensive) nobleman - the UNHAPPY POPULACE BECOMES THRILLED!
-Acotise is led by a LORD PRINCIPAL, not a Prince (see first flavor text)
-Acotise is in a CULTURAL RENAISSANCE, so views on Royals are evolving.
-The UNHAPPY POPULACE is actually quite HAPPY to see someone gget his just deserts.

Primary:
RAMPANT DISEASE contaminates the water around the Silver Sea!
-RAMPANT DISEASE has already contaminated the Sea itself.
-The disease is clearly water-borne, demonstrated by its spread from the INDOOR PLUMBING of Acotise.
-DISEASE spreads easily (hence its name).

Stoneheart breaks through Nobgrub's defenses and captures their capital!

1. Stoneheart has the capital surrounded and under siege placing them perfectly to strike the city
2. Stoneheart has Unerring Ranged Units and a Vast Golem Army armed by an Unparalleled Magical Armory with which to break through Nobgrub's unimpressive defenses
3. Stoneheart's Plentiful and Adept Casters use spells to wreak havoc on the enemy and propel their allies onto victory!

Secondary:

No, actually Hedgepig's Grand Army is destroyed while trying to breach the defenses
1. Stoneheart has Impenetrable Walls and Superb Defenses which will not be breached by the lackluster siege engines of Hedgepig
2. Stoneheart's Unerring Ranged Units armed with its Unparalleled Magical Armory will rain death down upon Hedgepig's forces
3. Stoneheart's Adept and Plentiful Casters will destroy the invaders with battle magic and shore up the walls with defensive spells!

(only the walls are impenetrable - which is why we are attacking the Gates)

(also, what are speels? do you mean "spiels"? 'cause that would be cooler)

THERE IS A GAME WINNING ARGUMENT ON THE TABLE.
24 HOURS EXTENSION IS GRANTED, and PREVIOUS ARGUMENTS MAY BE ALTERED.

Technically you're attacking my defenses! And spells, spells is the word I was looking for

The Capture of Nobgrub ends the game, so the competing arguments don't matter so much...

Spoiler: show
The City of Nobgrub as it looked in happier times...

Congrats to ETheBoyce and the Victorious Forces of Stoneheart...

Good game. Congratulations on your win.

I'm not sure I like the game structure, but it certainly makes for interesting times.
