I still have problems adapting to the art. They look a lot more real people now, in particular Ansom.

It looks like the pliers have resized to fit Wanda's hand.

On panel 10, the archons are uncroaked rather than decrypted.

Could have been worse, she could have used Toki's (from Metalocalypse) codpiece.

Teratorn: In regards to the artwork, it sure is Erfy, I don't think they look too real ... in fact, if there is to be a reproach, it's that they all look a little stiff. Everyone has a habbit of keeping their arms fully straight, no bends at all. Unnatural. Other than that, it's quite all right.

Meh. You obviously have low standards of awesome.

That said, it is probably necessary to do a bit of recap in the comic pages (for newish readers, being one reason), and cracking a joke lampshading the exposition is a nice thing to do writing-wise.
The whole point of this is lost if you keep it a secret.

A plot recap is probably the last thing fans of Book 1 wanted, but perhaps a necessary thing.

So, 'till next week.

Just noticed this, in panel one where Parson says "Shocker" he's also doing the shocker hand gesture.

As far as this update goes, yeah it's a recap, but it's nice to see more of the new art and get used to the change.

Presumably they did this in case Erfworld is ever published in book form, and people buy it without getting the first book first.

Well I'm guessing Ansom's strategy worked so far. They're almost at the capital.

Or they could be cut off and surrounded, who knows?

yeah.... this is great. Fair enough, a re-cap isn't exactly what everyone was expecting, but it *is* a great way to get us a little more used to the art change, using scenarios that we're already familiar with.

It was nice seeing Bogroll again...

Also, I liked the evil joke that tempted Rob.. it's a silly thing - but I can see why he'd be tempted :D

Can't wait for Book 2 to *really* kick off... +1 Anticipation...

Hi all,

I just registered to say that I really like the new art. Of course I liked the old art too, but the new style seems equally fitting (even if it is different). I especially like the bridge and the volcano panels; in fact all the scenery is excellent. It's going to take a little longer to get used to the new look of the characters, but I'm optimistic! I think the slightly more realistic look is fitting because Erfworld itself is becoming more real and complex; and Parson is beginning to accept Erfworld as his new reality.

I enjoyed the recap, now that brings up a good question, why try even talking? We saw what happened before and how it turned out. I feel this is the point that Parson should re take over the Chief Warlord position because of continued poor leadership of the current Chief Warlord. At one time he was suppose to be one of the best, but since his conversion he has not made any smart choices only basic ones. He is not acting like he use to in battle and I felt that is what made him some what likable. He is leading a supposedly large army and just using talking to the leaders instead of killing them to get anywhere. Come on and just get rid of the leadership in battle after killing all the other warriors to add to the army. Over all a good up date and lets see where the story is going.
I came, I saw, I had fun!
