8 is for 9-stack?

Postby twhitt » Sat May 25, 2013 4:43 pm

Why are there nine units in the image describing the benefit of a stack of 8? https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... 7bb9c7efa0

Are we looking at a stack of "eight" because the one in front is not stacked, or are we looking at a stack of "eight" because the rider and mount are not double-counted, or are we looking at a stack of "eight" because each unit receives a bonus for each other unit up to eight (so nine, counting itself)? None of these explanations makes total sense given the context, the description, and the historic usage.

I think the rider and the sourmander count as a single unit when together. If I am remembering correctly, we learned that a unit and a rider act as one in the prequel updates where Jillian was riding the tamed yellow dwagon. So in the image it looks like there are eight units, even though there are nine living creatures.
