Edit: How many qatloos were riding around on that anyway? Like 60-70ish right?

Sixty five by my count.

Impressive. Kind of wishing I'd made more bets, but I was content with what I'd made. Ah well, on to the next predictions. The hallucinogenic cloud is messing with my seeing much else of what is going on in book 0 though :P

10q that the broom Jillian (ordered) shot down in episode 65 landed in the Garden and set it ablaze, and Olive meets her end trying and failing to put it out. Jillian croaks Olive (indirectly), satisfying Fate, and everything else (Faq, the Jillian-Loj relationship, the present non-existence of the flowers) is ready and waiting for Stanley to swoop in with his dwagons.

Any takers?

Sounds nice Dalen, I won't take that, as it sounds very likely.

I will however put out a different bet. There are a few people suggesting that Olive somehow survives this, so I'll put out 10q that either Olive croaks or is turned into Janis (In which case Olive croaks and Janis is born, so to speak). I'm guessing no takers, but we'll see. I'll take 10:5, or even odds if you want to take Olive turning into Janis as a tie condition.

I submit the following bet:

Crapsack set the garden ablaze. 10q

I guess I'll dip my toe in the betting pool and take that.

The broom fell inside the city, and I'm pretty sure the Garden is outside. Even if I'm wrong, I'm pretty sure Olive wouldn't throw her own life away if she had a chance to escape and start over. So if any part of that is wrong, I win, right?

Edit: Can more than one person take a bet?

Not unless it is specifically offered as such, AFAIK.

I'll offer a 5q bet that the broom started the fire though, if you're interested.

Sorry about the double post, but I'd like to bet Whispri (if interested) 10q to my 20 that Olive croaks by the end of Book 0.

Edit: As Whispri has declined the bet, I'll throw it open. Anyone?

Someone can accept part of a bet, and then someone else another part.

Example: I offer 50q on something, even odds, someone says they'll take 10q. We now have a 10q bet on it, and I'm still offering 40q to anyone who wants in.

Oh, shoot. I forgot to put a Quadloon amount with my prediction for the pool. I'll put 20q on it. My prediction (if I remember correctly) was that the opening would be at FAQ, in the war room. In the event that I'm totally not remembering correctly, we'll go with whatever it was I said in the previous post, just so I can avoid editing this post, or double posting.

On another note, I'd like to open up a bet, if that's acceptable? I'd like to bet 20q to up to three people that Charlie will be shown to be from Stupidworld by the end of Book 3. Any character saying that he is from Stupidworld will count as confirmation, unless there is significant reason to disbelieve them. If there is no confirmation either way, the bet will resolve in your favor. Any takers?

I'll take that bet YesNinja. By Stupidworld, you mean the specific world that Parson is from, right?

Yes! But for the purposes of this bet, can we include "Earth" as where Parson is from as well? Meaning that it would count in my favor if Charlie said that he was from Earth, and never mentioned Stupidworld?

Parson called his home Earth. Stanley called it Stupidworld. They're different names for the same place.

Yes. I was thinking more about an alternate Earth-like world that is similar, but distinct from Parson's world.

Do we have a running tally of locations bet upon for the opening of Book 3?
