The FUMP Thread

Postby ReccaSquirrel » Thu Apr 30, 2009 7:49 pm

Rob Balder is one of (or it THE) founder of the FUMP. It is one of the better sites out there on the web. Incidentally, Rob Balder has a new song up as of 4/14. I must admit that Here They Come is one of the most emotionally moving songs I've heard on the FUMP. It is an amazing job.

If you are depressed after that song, listen to I'm Going to Procrastinate and it will lift you up.

Well, seeing that this is the Erfworld forum, I think this FuMP song might be worth mentioning, too...

Crossover? In my fandoms? It's more likely than you think. ;-)

I love Quest for the Arkentools. I just love it.

That one, Here They Come and Gamer Funk are my favorites, but they're all great. Congrats!

I like trench war, I like Blitzkrieg, I like the offensive, I like the defensive.
I truly love each and every kind of war man can wage on a tabletop game.

Thanks, man. It's weird about crossover between my music and my comics. All my efforts to get the readers to become listeners and vice versa usually fall flat, though I have a slightly easier time getting dementia music fans to read Erfworld. Quest for the Arkentools part 2 must be written and released before the end of Book 2!

A little late crowing, but The FuMP won the Parsec Award for Best Speculative Fiction Music Podcast. Pretty proud of that. :)

Heh, nicely done ;)

First time I checked out the FUMP stuff - (I only really get time to browse the net when I'm at work... and I shouldn't even be doing that :P)

I read the lyrics for the Lemon Demon stalking of Bill Watterson..

"And when we meet I’ll be complete.
I’ll shake your hand and kiss your feet,
confess my love and buy you flowers.
And eat your heart and absorb your powers."

...Gives me that warm fuzzy feeling :P

...I'm still holding out for the Arkenoid...

Hey Rob,

With the limit per issue being 25 pages, Erfworld 2 is likely to come to a close all too soon. Dare we hope that the muse struck a note or two in your direction for Part 2 of Quest for the Arkentools?

Ah, not quite yet. Not quite.

And we're stretching the issue size a bit. 30ish pages now.

So this is where I end up when I decide to randomly wander the forums out fo boredom. I'll take a look, will probably like what I hear.
